Over 200,000 DuraPlates on the Road
If you’re interested in purchasing used equipment, consider DuraPlate
dry vans. Introduced in 1996, DuraPlate dry vans have been widely
accepted by large carriers for their superior performance and low total
cost of ownership. Their composite sidewall design, construction, and
high-quality specifications combine to provide better damage resistance,
longer trailer life, and lower maintenance costs. So, whether you’re
buying new or used equipment, DuraPlate dry vans deliver the best return
on your investment.
Damage Resistant Material
DuraPlate sidewalls and doors consist of a polyethylene plastic core
bonded between two sheets of pre-painted, high strength galvanized
steel. The result is a lightweight, incredibly strong panel that
significantly lowers maintenance costs and extends the life of your
trailer.
Innovative Sidewall Panel Design
- Post-less design maximizes interior width at 101”.
- Sidewall material absorbs impact to resist scrapes, tears,
punctures, and permanent deformation.
- Composite interior eliminates the need to maintain and replace
plywood liners that can damage cargo.
High-Performance DuraPlate Doors
The DuraPlate door features the same composite material as the
sidewalls, which eliminates plywood and steel deterioration commonly
associated with conventional door designs.
- Swing doors utilize a dual-durometer, perimeter gasket system
allowing for simple repairs.
- Overhead doors are manufactured with premium hardware, providing
longer life and superior aesthetics.
Exceptional Floor System
- Full 13/8”-thick, laminated oak ensures longer floor life.
- Patented aluminum extruded floor seals provide routing space for
air lines and electrical on both sides of the trailer.
- Bolted crossmember attachment provides superior structural
connection of floor system to sidewall, resulting in over two times
the shear strength of aluminum.
Low-Profile Top Rail
The unique top rail design features a square interior upper corner to
provide maximum interior height, for greater capacity and flexibility in
load types.
- Low-profile design provides maximum interior height at 110” at
front and 111” at rear.
- No front or corner marker lights to maintain.
- Recessed side marker lights prevent damage from overhead
obstacles, reducing downtime and related maintenance costs.
Heavy Duty Base Rail
The DuraPlate base rail design provides 5” of inside protection and
is recessed to capture the lower edge of the tall steel scuff, providing
11” of overall lower sidewall protection.
